Planned participant agreement

Adult introduction, consent and responsibility terms

This draft defines the minimum click-through agreement required before JARVIS may disclose one participant’s email address to another. It is not active and requires Canadian legal review before launch.

What JARVIS does

JARVIS provides an evidence-organizing and introduction service. After two participants independently express interest, confirm they have reached the age of majority where they live, accept these terms and expressly consent, JARVIS may disclose each participant’s specified email address to the other for the stated introduction.

What JARVIS does not do

JARVIS is not a party to any discussion or transaction and is not a buyer, seller, dealer, auctioneer, broker, fiduciary, escrow provider, payment processor, insurer, carrier, authenticator, appraiser or guarantor. JARVIS does not take possession of property or money.

Participant responsibility

Each participant independently decides whether to communicate or transact; verifies identity, ownership, legality, authenticity, condition, provenance, value, payment, delivery, insurance, customs and tax; protects personal safety and accounts; and obtains professional advice when appropriate.

Email disclosure consent

Consent must be specific, informed and affirmative. Before disclosure, the participant sees whose email will receive their address, why it is shared and what happens next. Consent may be withdrawn before disclosure. Once disclosed, JARVIS cannot make the other person forget or return the address, but future JARVIS use can be stopped subject to lawful retention requirements.

Risk acknowledgement and release

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, each participant voluntarily assumes the risks of direct contact and dealings with another participant and releases JARVIS and its operator from claims arising from another participant’s statements, conduct, goods, payment, delivery or transaction. JARVIS is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary or lost-profit damages arising from the introduction service.

This release does not exclude liability or rights that cannot lawfully be excluded, including applicable privacy and consumer-protection duties, nor does it excuse fraud, wilful misconduct or gross negligence where the law prohibits that result.

Member conduct

Participants must not use the introduction to harass, deceive, spam, discriminate, evade law, trade prohibited property, distribute malware or misuse personal information. JARVIS may suspend access, preserve required evidence and report suspected unlawful activity where legally permitted or required.

No guarantee

Evidence, classifications, hypotheses, reference matches and value indications may be incomplete or wrong. Participants must review the underlying evidence. JARVIS does not guarantee identity, authenticity, title, legality, condition, value, rarity, sale, payment, delivery or outcome.

Launch requirement

The final agreement must identify the legal operator, governing law, contact method, privacy policy, retention schedule, dispute process and version accepted. Acceptance must be separately recorded from email-sharing consent with timestamp, version and withdrawal state.
